Single-Stranded DNA Recognition over Fluorescent Gold-Aryl Nanoparticles

چکیده

Fluorescence labeling of gold-aryl nanoparticles, AuNPs-COOH, was achieved by the covalent derivatization with dansyl chloride (DNS-Cl) reagent (5-naphthalene-1-sulfonyl chloride) for potential ssDNA recognition. The fluorescent gold nanoparticles AuNPs-C6H4-4-COO-dansyl (AuNPs-DNS) spherical shape and a size 19.3 ± 8.3 nm were synthesized in carbonate-bicarbonate buffer (pH = 10.6) at 37 °C. fluorescence emission 475 acquired using spectroscopy investigated time-resolved photoluminescence. conjugation to AuNPs-DNS freeze-thaw salt-aging methods confirmed quenching, gel electrophoresis separation, lifetime decrease. Conjugated method more efficient than method. purity upon measured optical density, obtained A260/A280 ratio range 1.7–2.0. This research can be applied other nucleotide recognition theranostics.

Single Stranded DNA Induced Assembly of Gold Nanoparticles

The binding affinity of single stranded DNA (ssDNA) for gold nanoparticle surface is studied in this work. The data indicate that the strength of interaction between ssDNA and Au particle surface is closely related to the particle size, with smaller particles (5 nm) producing the most pronounced effects. From these experimental findings, a single stranded DNA (ssDNA) based method to assimilate ...

Fluorescent single-stranded DNA-binding protein from Plasmodium falciparum as a biosensor for single-stranded DNA

Single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) is a product of many cellular processes that involve double-stranded DNA, for example during DNA replication and repair, and is formed transiently in many others. Measurement of ssDNA formation is fundamental for understanding many such processes. The availability of a fluorescent biosensor for the determination of single-stranded DNA provides an important route to a...

Base-dependent competitive adsorption of single-stranded DNA on gold.

We characterize the room-temperature adsorption of single-stranded DNA homo-oligonucleotides from solution onto polycrystalline Au films, including competitive adsorption between all possible pairs of unmodified oligomers. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron (XPS) spectroscopy analysis of the resulting films shows that oligonucleotides adsorb with a strongly base-dependent...

Graphitic Surface Attachment by Single-Stranded DNA and Metal Nanoparticles

Graphene and carbon nanotubes are extreme mechanical and electronic materials which have been the subjects of intense study and development since their discoveries. While many of their intrinsic properties have been discovered, their interactions with other materials are only beginning to be explored. The noncovalent binding of single-stranded DNA oligonucleotides to carbon nanotubes and graphe...

Colorimetric recognition of DNA intercalators with unmodified gold nanoparticles.

A colorimetric approach to recognize the binding mode between DNA and molecules was developed, which was based upon the electrostatic interaction between DNA and gold colloids.
